Christmas Eve was a solemn day, as we all took turns going over to give our condolensces to her family... but I thank God that He heard and answered our prayers- as there was both a joy unspeakable and a peace surrounding all of Mary's boys that day, as they celebrated what mom would have said. :o)
The next day was Christmas... and here is Nick in his new Christmas sweater from our recent Aeropostale shopping spree:
And here's Aunt Brenda (my dad's little sister), whom quite a few people insist I look identical to (and Abigail absolutely adores!!)...
And her youngest, Drake... getting all grown up... We had a fun conversation about Einstein's theory of relativity where he insisted that the faster he drives, the more time is added to his life. We half-jokingly tried to help him see that it really is just a theory! :o) He took it in stride! :o)
And, of course, we couldn't open any of the presents until everyone had their showers and were dressed (so we'd smell good for the pictures- LOL!)... The kids did so well keeping their distance and not bugging everyone to open everything. Kenny kept commenting what great kids we have to wait so patiently. :o) ...and as soon as everyone was ready, it wasn't long before...
And this would be "dog-ee" aka Canyon. Abigail and Ethan's playmate for the better part of 4-5 days:
